Printz Selected for the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report Aug 17, 2026 Printz Selected for the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report We’re proud to share that Printz™ has been selected for the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report, recognizing significant advancements in the art and science of lighting. Presented by the Illuminating Engineering Society, the annual Industry Progress Report highlights developments that represent meaningful progress in lighting technology, design, materials and application. For us, that recognition means something. A New Process for Architectural Lighting Printz was created to explore what large-format additive manufacturing could make possible in architectural lighting. Rather than treating 3D printing simply as a different way to produce a familiar object, Printz uses the process to rethink form, scale and material from the beginning. The collection includes 3D-printed luminaires up to 36 inches in diameter, bringing additive manufacturing to a scale not widely available in architectural luminaires. Each shade is produced from PETG containing at least 85% post-industrial recycled content, combining a distinctive manufacturing process with a more thoughtful approach to material use. Layer by layer, the printing process becomes part of the design itself. Subtle variations and visible striations give each shade a texture and character directly connected to how it was made. Recognized by the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report Selection for the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report marks an important milestone for Printz and the thinking behind it. From its large-format manufacturing process to its exploration of recycled material and architectural scale, Printz represents a different approach to how a luminaire can be designed and produced. This recognition reinforces what we believed from the beginning: changing the process can change what’s possible. REDISCOVER PRINTZ
